Dr. Michael Langehans Loves Nurturing Smiles

Dr. Michael Langehans graduated as salutatorian from Denmark-Olar High School in 1986. After, he attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Langehans was accepted into The Medical University of South Carolina and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1994. This achievement reinforced his belief that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve any goal. Becoming a dentist had been Dr. Langehans’ aspiration since witnessing his childhood dentist’s ability to balance quality time with family while pursuing his passion for dentistry.

As the owner of the third-oldest dental practice in Bluffton, Dr. Langehans takes great pride in being available to his patients and attending to their dental needs. He and his team continuously strive to stay at the forefront of dental technology, offering services such as same-day crowns, digital impressions, digital X-rays, and the most advanced and effective anesthetics available. In some cases, the practice even has the capability to provide same-day bridges.

Throughout his 16 years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Langehans has found immense gratification in helping patients who have not smiled in years rediscover their confidence. Even more rewarding is the ability to alleviate patients’ intense, long-term pain.

Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Langehans has donated his services through Dental Lifeline over the years. The opportunity to help those in need brings him great joy and fulfillment in his profession.

Dr. Langehans grew up in Bamberg County, where his passion for hunting and fishing was born and nurtured. Dr. Langehans is a proud father of four adult children who reside throughout South Carolina and Pennsylvania. In his leisure time, he devotes himself to raising and training Boykin Spaniels, the official state dog of South Carolina. His love for these loyal companions began in the early 1990s with his first Boykin, Caesar. When not participating in field trials with his dogs on weekends, Dr. Langehans can be found in a dove field, a deer stand, fishing in the picturesque creeks of the area, or traveling the country in pursuit of turkeys and other game.
